About Carrie
License Parter & CEO
Carrie Cason’s real estate journey began in 1996 when, as a freshman at the University of Florida, her dad, a residential contractor, encouraged her to get her license. That early start sparked a lifelong passion for real estate and set the foundation for a career defined by growth, leadership, and excellence.
After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Public Relations from the University of Florida, Carrie became a licensed Real Estate Broker and went on to earn her GRI and CCIM designations along with a Building Contractor License, credentials that give her rare depth of expertise in today’s market. Since 2001, she has been honored to serve her community, helping clients achieve their goals through thoughtful strategy, local knowledge, and personalized care.
Today, Carrie leads Engel & Völkers shops in Gainesville and Tallahassee as License Partner and CEO, along with the Cason Iconic Group, a team recognized for innovative marketing and elevated client experiences. Her specialty lies in luxury, equestrian, and architecturally distinctive properties where her eye for design and attention to detail bring out the best in every home.
A natural leader, Carrie is deeply invested in helping others grow. She mentors advisors, builds systems for long-term success, and leads with vision, consistency, and care. She believes that taking care of people—clients, colleagues, and community alike—is the foundation on which lasting success is built.
Faith and family remain at the heart of everything she does. Alongside her husband, Matt, and their three children, Carrie continues to build a legacy of integrity, excellence, and impact throughout North Central Florida and beyond.
About Matt
Lisence Partner & Director of Development Services
After high school, Matt Cason joined the U.S. Navy, where he learned the discipline, leadership, and resilience that would shape his career in construction and real estate. The precision and accountability he developed in service still define his work today.
Matt earned his Florida Real Estate License in 2005 and his Florida Building Contractor License in 2006. Soon after, he and his wife, Carrie, founded a construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects. That experience gave him a hands-on understanding of what it takes to bring a vision to life from the ground up.
In 2008, Matt joined Concept Companies, where he advanced from Director of Construction to President. Over the next decade, he led more than 300 projects totaling over $500 million, overseeing every stage of development from site planning and design to engineering and construction. His ability to bring structure, strategy, and calm to complex projects earned him a reputation for excellence.
In 2020, Matt and Carrie became License Partners of Engel & Völkers Gainesville and later expanded into Tallahassee. In 2024, he earned his Real Estate Broker License, adding another layer of expertise to his background in construction and development.
Today, as License Partner and Director of Development Services, Matt focuses on luxury real estate, acquisitions, and new opportunities across North Central Florida. Known for his strategic insight, steady leadership, and down-to-earth approach, he continues to build lasting relationships and guide clients through every stage of growth from investment to completion.
In addition to his role with Engel & Völkers, Matt serves as Chief Operating Officer and Principal of Buildings And More and ProSpan Steel Buildings. His work in the steel building and construction industry keeps him closely connected to the development process, from evaluating sites and project feasibility to understanding construction needs, costs, and opportunities. This experience complements his real estate and development background and gives him a practical perspective when working with clients on land, commercial properties, new construction, and development opportunities.
